Overview
This is a step-by-step guide for service providers who are are newly subscribed to the SMS Events module that enables service providers to send events via SMS.
Following this acceptance testing plan will assist you verify that Emersion have correctly enabled the module for your retail service provider account.
This module is available with wholesale service provider accounts.
Step-by-step guide
First we will validate that SMS events have been mapped to your service provider account.
Log into Cumulus and navigate to Events > Templates > Mappings
For each event type that is mapped to your service provider account, you should see a a single mapping with two actions, resulting in two entries in the list.
- One mapping for messages (email)
- One mapping for SMS
If both mappings are present, this test has passed.
Most event mappings are bound to a single account profile. If you are using more than one account profile, ensure 2 listings (one per action) are present.
In the example below, a service provider account has 3 active account profiles. So they have a message event mapping and an SMS mapping for each account profile.
The next step is to ensure you can access the SMS Out feature.
First, enable the SMS out module permission for your role.
Log out of Cumulus and log back in to apply the new permissions.
Navigate to Events > SMS Out
If the page loads, the test has passed.
