Overview

This article relates to the Data Retention module and covers how to:

  • grant access to the data retention reports group in Cumulus
  • grant a role access to a specific data retention report
  • access the report(s).

Changes to permissions and powers requires the user to log out and log back in again in order for the new access controls to take effect.

Granting Access to the Data Retention Report Group

Before you can grant access to any particular report, the user must be granted access to the Reports > List > Data Retention reports tab.

Like all module permissions, this permission is enabled for a role.  To start:

Admin > Org Units & Roles > Roles

Click on the role you want to grant access to. The user will be taken to the main details page of the role.

Click the Manage Module Permissions button.

When the page opens, enable the Reports - Data Retention permission.

Press the Save Role Permission Groups button to save the changes.

Granting Access to a Data Retention Report

Once the user has been granted access to the Reports > List > Data Retention tab above, they can be granted access to one, or all, of the reports individually.

From the Admin > Org Units & Roles > Roles page:

Click the Expand All button to expand the list of powers.

Locate the Data Retention Reports powers.

Use your browser's search/find function to locate power you want to find.

The powers for each report are located under the parent power named Data Retention - Reports.

Tick or untick the reports to grant access accordingly.

Press the Save Role Details button to apply the changes.

Accessing the Reports

Go to Reports > List > Data Retention to see and run the reports.
