Overview
This article contains instructions for users needing to configure their event template so it can use Event Text Library elements. The Event Text Library is a feature of the Events module in Cumulus.

Editing The Event Template
Comprehensive instructions for editing and maintaining event templates is found here. This also includes how to insert variables into an event in a generic fashion. A brief set of instructions is below for this specific task.
The list of event types where the variable is used to return an element from the Event Text Library is listed below along with the variable name.

Installing the Template Variable
Go to Events > Templates.
- Search and locate the event template that belongs to one of the above events that requires editing.
- Variables can be added to a subject line, or the message body.
- Place the cursor where you want the text from the library to appear.
- From the list of variables presented, click the name of the variable.
- The variable placeholder should be inserted into the event template.
- Save the changes.
