Overview

Recurring Purchase

This function enables users to set a default profit centre to the product purchase, so that all cardlines for product purchases related to this product are included in the profit centre.

This setting will override profit centres that may be associated against accounts and products. For more about the profit centre business rules and how the system applies profit centres, see this article.


Assign a Profit Centre to an Outright Product Purchase

To do this, first you must begin the purchase.

Log in to Cumulus.

Either;

Go to Customers > Customer List

Find a customer and press the Purchase Product button in the Actions column. 

Select Outright Purchases from the sub menu.

Or;

Go to the Customers > Product Purchases screen for the customer for who the purchase is for. 

Press the Add New Product Purchase button and select the Outright Purchase tab.

Perform a search to find the product.

You can assign the profit centre using the dropdown field as shown below in red.

Move through the remainder of the purchase screens in the usual way to complete the purchase.  Click here for a more detailed article on creating an outright product purchase.


Assign a Profit Centre to an Instalment Plan Purchase

To do this, first you must begin the purchase.

Log in to Cumulus.

Either;

Go to Customers > Customer List

Find a customer and press the Purchase Product button in the Actions column. 

Select Instalment Purchase from the sub menu.

Or;

Go to the Customers > Product Purchases screen for the customer for who the purchase is for. 

Press the Add New Product Purchase button and select the Instalment Plan tab.

Perform a search to find the product.

You can assign the profit centre using the dropdown field as shown below in red.


Assign a Profit Centre to a Recurring Product Purchase

To do this, first you must begin the purchase.

Log in to Cumulus.

Either;

Go to Customers > Customer List

Find a customer and press the Purchase Product button in the Actions column. 

Select Recurring Purchase from the sub menu.

Or;

Go to the Customers > Product Purchases screen for the customer for who the purchase is for. 

Press the Add New Product Purchase button and select the Recurring Purchase tab.

Perform a search to find the product.

You can assign the profit centre using the dropdown field as shown below in red.
