Overview
A bolt-on add-on plan allows for additional mini quotas to be added to a bolt-on subscription. From here on in, where it makes sense, we will refer to it as an 'add-on plan' for readability purposes.
This article explains the process of how add-on plans are constructed and prepared for sale.

Prerequisites
Before you begin, you are required to:
- have an solid understanding of the basics of plan building in Emersion.
- have undertaken Packages and Plans standard training with Emersion.
- understand the features of bolt-ons and add-ons. Read more about bolt-on add-ons and their features.
- have strong knowledge on the service types sold by your business. Read about Service Types.
- know if you need to create both BUY and SELL plans, or just SELL plans. This article will help you.
Plan Structure
Setting up the complete structure from package plan > bolt-on add-on, requires the creation of two separate sets of plans at each tier. The BUY and the SELL plans. If you need to brush up on the fundamentals of buy and sell plan, this article will help you.
'Tier' in this context refers to the Emersion account hierarchy. Where a wholesale service provider account and a retail service provider account is part of your subscription, you must build your BUY and SELL plans in your wholesale account first. Wholesale SELL plans can then be made available to the retail account level. These effectively become retail BUY plans, leaving only the retail SELL plans to be constructed.
Retail Service Providers: Construction of BUY plans is not required for services you purchase from Wholesalers where they are also an Emersion subscriber.
To build this plan structure end-to-end, complete these steps in order.
- Build the BUY Service Plan and BUY Package plan and link them.
- Build the SELL Service Plan and SELL Package plan and link them.
- Build the BUY Bolt-on.
- Build the SELL Bolt-on.
- Place the SELL bolt-on(s) into a bolt-on group.
- Build the BUY Bolt-on Add-on.
- Build the SELL Bolt-on Add-on.
- Place the BUY Bolt-on Add-on into a Bolt-on Add-on group.
- Place the SELL Bolt-on Add-on into a Bolt-on Add-on group.
- Link the BUY Bolt-on & Bolt-on Add-on to the BUY Service Plan.
- Set the Included Value Allowances of the BUY Bolt-on Add-on.
- Link the SELL Bolt-on & Bolt-on Add-on to the SELL Service Plan.
- Setting the Included Value Allowances of the SELL Bolt-on Add-on.
