Overview
There are three service plan settings available for the the Telstra WME Bounty module that must be set on a Telstra WME BUY service plan. This article provides instruction to users on how to set these properties.
Set the Service Plan Properties for WME Bounty
To set the properties:
Navigate to Packages and Plans > Management > Service Plans.
Open the BUY service plan for a Telstra WME service type.
Click the Properties tab.
Three settings are displayed on the page. Tick the options as they apply.
Each of these settings is described in greater detail here.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Claim Bounty on New Service | When a new service is provisioned, after activation of this service a request for a bounty will be sent to the Telstra WME platform. This does not include a service where the transfer type is UPGRADE, CHOWN or INTERNAL CHURN. |
Claim Bounty on Re-contracted Service | For services that previously had a bounty approved, after 21 months and one day from the initial bounty request date, a new re-contract bounty request will be sent. |
Maintain Active Contract | If a previous bounty had been clawed back, this setting will allow a new bounty request to be sent to the Telstra WME platform. Furthermore, if a new bounty has not been recorded against the service in the past, and the plan is set to "Claim Bounty on New Service", a new bounty will also be triggered in this scenario. This can be useful when for instance, a plan migrates from a plan not eligible for bounties back to a plan that is eligible. |
Churn or Porting Services
In a porting scenario where the previous provider being churned away from is a user of the WME Platform, a bounty request will be sent off and eventually marked "Force Approved", however this is not a true approval in the sense that no actual bounty will be received from Telstra in these cases. Emersion only sets the bounty to Approved so when the services comes up for re-contract, the system sends of a re-contract claim bounty request. When the re-contract request is sent, Telstra will honour the bounty.
