Emersion provides a suite of tools to perform data imports and the processing of data in bulk. This section provides resources to those who need to:
- import large amounts of data into Emersion.
- perform processing of large numbers of records in bulk.
- place files in their SFTP location and have our system pick them up and process them.
Some of the bulk import or bulk update tools are included in the core subscription to Emersion. Others require a separate license. The article for each of these tools contains the licensing information.

Set Up Cumulus to Process Import Files
To process your data files, the Bulk upload processing notification event (event type 963) needs to be configured.
This event is a critical part of the workflow. It both processes the import file and sends a notification to the user.
If the import is successful, the email notification will advise you when the import process is complete.
If the import is not successful, the email notification will send details of the records that failed validation and why.
Configuration of the event is done in two steps
- Create the event template
- Enable the event mapping
If these two steps are not done, the system will not allow you access to Admin > Bulk Imports area.
Automation of Data Import
Emersion's bulk import system also contains scheduling functionality to automate loading data into Emersion regularly.
These schedules are set up and maintained by Emersion, but can be viewed by users.

Bulk Import Status Report
- Report > List > BulkImportOutput > Bulk Import Status (#1247)
This report is available to all providers and can be mapped upon request. It will allow you to review the status of bulk imports.
