Overview
Generically speaking, a contract is an agreement entered into by you and your customer to define the terms of the services they purchase from you.
Within Emersion's platform, the contract type and contract are two subscription-based billing objects that deliver the functionality and behaviour surrounding the terms of service.
Contract Types
- are the definition of the contract
- can be attached to a package plan
- has configurable business rules and applies charges based on those rules
- breakout fees.
- upgrade, downgrade and crossgrade rules and charges.
- has configurable discounts within it
- contains a package pool.
Contracts
A contract is created whenever a customer subscribes to any package plan the contract type is attached to, or can be added to the package subscription at a later date.
