Overview

As part of national security measures passed in 2015, the Federal Government is compelling telecommunications companies and internet service providers to keep consistent and reliable data on their customers for two years.

In order to support our customers with data retention obligations under the legislation, this module offers the ability to have relevant data stored in a separate system specifically created for the purposes of data retention. Any changes that occur within the Emersion platform are synchronised to this data retention sub system.

Included in the module:

  • Access to a user interface named Vortex where authorised staff can search, view and export data being kept for data retention purposes.
  • Access to the data retention reports, accessible via Cumulus. These reports can also be used to search, view and export data.
  • Access to the Service Desk Module with a single Data Retention queue you can optionally use for your auditing obligations.
