Overview
This section and sub articles comprises our help on creating and maintaining your Event templates. The Events module is a standard module in Emersion. For more on the module itself and its capabilities, start here,
Templates store the content of a notification presented to the recipient when it is received. Each template is bound to an event action. When the action is Message, SMS or On Screen, service providers need to set up a template containing any headings, text, pictures and other content elements comprising the notification. In the case on On Screen, the content in the template will form the web page content that will be displayed to the user when the event is triggered.
Service providers will need to set up an event template in cases where if multiple account profiles are in use. For each account profile, one template is required in most cases. Learn more about mappings here...

The Template Editor
Emersion utilises a third party application to enable our clients to build rich content notifications, employing HTML and CSS. Being a third party application, Emersion does not control what it can and cannot do. Template creators are bound by any restrictions that apply.

Template Variables
Each event type provides a set of template variables to populate the event with dynamic content. Some examples include:
- Account number
- First name
- Surname
- Primary email
- Service identifier
- Account status
Not all variables are available for all event types.
Variables are chosen based on the purpose of the event. Users cannot create new template variables. If you would like an additional variable, please raise a QR ticket with Emersion Sales so we can provide a quote. Template variables are global to all event types, meaning all users see the same variables for all event types.
