Overview

This page contains a short video demonstrating how to use the Product Order Mapping feature of a package plan.

There are particular settings relating to the sign up portal and instalment purchases that have been released subsequent to the creation of the video.

SettingDescription
Available in Sign UpThis setting determines whether the product can be ordered via the signup portal. The default setting is no.
Sign Up Inbound Product Visibility

If you elect to make the Product available in signup, you can also control the visibility of the Product Page (not a given product), if this particular product is selected via Sign Up Portal URL String Options . Options are:

  • Hidden: Product Page will not be visible. This setting is useful when you want to nominate a product to be automatically selected and bypass the product selection screen outright.
  • If there are two products mapped to the package, one is visible and one is not within signup, the visibility of the product page will be determined by the Product in the URL string. If no product is present in the URL string, the product page will show.
  • Mandatory: Product is unable to be removed from the order but will be presented to the user. As the setting suggests, the product page will available in signup, they will see the product has been selected, but the user can not change the product or deselect it.
  • Optional: Product can be deselected during order. With this option, while the URL string can nominate a product to be automatically selected and the user will see this product selected in the product page during the sign up order. The user will have the option of changing to another product, the purchase type if available, or removing the selection.
Instalment LengthIf "Available for Instalment" is enabled, the instalment length (the number of instalments) is by default determined by the contract, if the contract type is attached to the package plan. Alternatively you may specify your own value. For example, your contract length may be 24 months in length, which would result in 24 instalments over 24 months. However you can override this and setup your instalment purchase to create 12 instalments over 12 months.

Note that if "Contract Required" is set to No, then you must set the instalment length as you have no contract to fall back on. Also note that if the Thorn Finance account module is enabled for your account, you will not be allowed to override the instalment length, and you will be forced to rely on the contract.
