Overview

This feature enables users to provide a different rate than what is defined on the product rate card. The override will only apply to the service subscription in question.

Usage that is rated using rates in a product rate card is called Miscellaneous Usage.

Miscellaneous usage covers all kinds of charges, including service and equipment charges, one-time-use charges and, in some cases, access fee charges.  When building a product rate card, the price assigned to each type of charge, or product, is called a product rate and becomes the default price charged to the customer in the event that a miscellaneous usage record for the product is received. 

This is the charge that can be overridden using this feature.

This feature does not include the ability to override service plan and package access fees. Those overrides can be found here.
