Overview

The Retail Package Catalogue functionality provides a way for Retail Service Providers to control which plans are visible and available to both staff users and agents. 

This is beneficial when you want to provide access to only a subset of your plans to some staff or agents. 

For example, if you have a team who specifically deals with your business customers, you can grant them access to the plans designed for your business customers.  This means that they cannot access plans you may have for residential customers, and your staff cannot accidentally sell a business customer the wrong plan. 

When a staff member or agent is restricted in this way, the Agent or staff user can only create an order, or migrate a service, to package plans for which they have been granted access.

Prerequisites

Before attempting to use this feature, users should:

  • have a good understanding package plans are in Emersion
  • have a good understanding of roles.

Dependencies

In order to use this module, service providers must have:

  • staff users who are to be restricted to ordering/migrating to some package plans and not others.
  • a subscription to the Agents module (if using this to restrict agents to selling some, but not all of your plans and services).
  • fully configured Agent accounts that are (if using this to restrict agents to selling some, but not all of your plans and services).
