This training session is the first training session any new user to Cumulus should attend.  It covers the following topics.

  • The Emersion Support Portal and logging tickets
    • How to get the right help, at the right time, by the right team.
  • Systems Overview
  • First look at Cumulus and navigating around
  • Creating customer accounts
  • The customer account screens

The session is designed for any staff member using Cumulus, regardless of their role.

Attendees planning on attending this session do not need to have completed any other Emersion training.

Session Content

The Emersion Support Portal

Participants will be introduced to the Emersion Support Portal. We walk through:

Navigation Basics

We introduce Cumulus, the primary user interface to the platform. We give some tips for navigating around quickly and efficiently.

Creating New Customer Accounts

We take the participants through how to create two types of End User customer accounts:

  1. Individuals

  2. Organisations

Emersion Account Concepts and Objects

We introduce a number of important Emersion-specific concepts around customer accounts.

The Account Invoice Period

We introduce the account invoice period and its significance to the billing cycle.

Account Profiles

We introduce the purpose of the account profile and how it is used to control what content the customer sees.

Account Groups

We introduce account groups and explain how what they are for and how they are different to account profiles.

Account Attributes

We introduce how some customer settings are known as account attributes. We clarify what this means and how the attribute inheritance works.

The Cumulus Customer Screens

We introduce the Account and Contact records further by touching on the purpose and use of the core customer screens and sub tabs.

We comprehensively cover these screens the Orders and Provisioning Training Session, however we introduce the participant to these subscriptions screens so users can start familiarising themselves with them.
