Overview

The event message queues are useful tools for:

  • seeing if a particular event has been triggered.
  • viewing the content that was generated.
  • seeing if a triggered event has been processed or not.
  • troubleshooting issues with events

The Event Message Queue will not list Email or SMS messages sent via the Bulk Email or Bulk SMS Tool. Please use the following reports;

  • Report > List > Events > Bulk Email Out (#1235)
  • Report > List > Events > Bulk SMS Out (#1234)

Accessing the Message Queues

Go to Events > Message Queue

This section has 3 sub tabs.

  • Email
  • SMS
  • On Screen

The screen shot below shows message queues for Email and SMS.  The On Screen page works in an identical fashion.

  • This page will not load any content until a search is performed.
  • Email messages sent using Events > Mass Mailout or SMS messages sent using Events > SMS Out will not show in these views.

Using Message Queue Filters

On the Message queue, filter the results by:

  • Account ID - Returns events for an account
  • Account name - Returns events for an account
  • Event type - Returns events for a given type of event
  • Creation date - Returns events from the Creation date to the last date an event was processed
  • Account profile name - Returns events for accounts attached to a given account profile
  • Processed flag - Returns messages created by the system and are waiting to be sent (Processed = No) or created and have been sent by the system (Unprocessed = Yes). Learn more about processed and unprocessed events....

Search and Inspect

Use the search filters above the table to find the event.

Click the View Details link.

The user will be shown more information about the event, including its content. In this test example, users can see:

  • the event was successfully processed.
  • it was sent via email
  • the content of the email, including subject line and body.
